As Minnesota bioscience companies grow and mature, the need for all employees to be knowledgeable in regulatory affairs has intensified. Employees at every level of regulated industry are critical in ensuring compliance with the federal regulations that guide the activities in the FDA-regulated industries. Recent industry surveys have shown that regulatory affairs knowledge is a crucial need among new and current employees.

The Regulatory Affairs Certificate has been developed to provide broad foundations; exposure to practical and real-world applications of the regulations; and an appreciation for the important role that all employees play in maintaining compliance to federal regulations.

This certificate program is intended for current or new employees of a regulated industry who want to play a larger role in regulatory affairs matters within their organization or who desire to know more about regulatory compliance issues. Courses will be taught by industry professionals from the pharmaceutical, medical device, biologics and food industries. Instructors will bring the courses to life with relevant, real-world examples.
